Hey guys:) So, today I was going pretty casual. Tee shirt, jeans, and wedges seem to be the easiest when you are in a hurry in the morning! Speaking of jeans, I went jean shopping last night and oh my gosh did I forget how much I hated it! haha seriously jean shopping is stressful since every person has a different body type! Although, I bought these ones that I am wearing in these pictures and they are super comfortable! Oh and did I mention me and my friend Ozodi are trying out for the talent show at my school this year? Well, we do hip hop together and we are hoping for the best! The main song is this, it is a bit older I guess, but I just adore the beat:)

Hey fashionable friends:) So, I redeemed this lovely dress off of my Chictopia points and it originally sells for 98 dollars so I thought it was quite the steal haha. It came in today and I am not too sure if I want to keep it or not. It is quite comfortable and anything 50's-esque is cute in my opinion, but I don't think it fits my body type. It would probably look way better on a girl with curves...hmmm decisions decisions!

Hey fashionable friends:) So, I have to say obey is one of my favorite brands of clothing from their tees to their hats, I am a big fan. When I was browsing through Platos Closet for the first time, this sweater popped up and....SOLD. It was such a steal; only sixteen dollars! The funny thing was when I put it in the washer with my bedding...there was lint all over it afterwards! Seriously, the lint would not come off with a lint roller. Hey guys, just a snapshot of today's outfit! I went to an AMAZING resale shop and didn't have the chance to get pictures, but in the future I will have a post on it! Seriously the people in there are so eclectic and not judgmental , unlike the ignorant people at the mall today. The woman at the resale shop said my shoes were "bitchin" and she was just all around cool! The funny thing is people at the mall were giving dirty looks and immediately looking at my shoes, when in the store next to me were my shoes in the display window. Yeah, those people better recognize.

Hey:) So today I felt super sophisticated and I really do like wearing my hair half up-half down. This checkered bag never seems to fail me, unlike my black grommet bag which strap broke! Hey guys:) So, if you have been reading my blog for some time then you know that I am originally from Illinois and moved down to the south 5 years ago. I really do miss Chicago and my family and friends there. But, I do get to visit at least once a year, which is always awesome and really makes me happy!

Hey guys:) So I dyed and sparkled these jeans a couple days ago and I am really happy with them! Although this was not the first pair I tested on, my other ones were a complete fail because I bleached the heck out of them....don't bleach it too much because yeah the fabric is like ruined(very delicate and rips!)These jeans already were bleached in one areas so it was perfect to put in some cosmic details. There really isn't a right or wrong way when doing galaxy jeans, but I will post the products I used next time! check out my earrings:)

Hey my fashionable friends:) So, today consisted of skidding across my speech classroom in these heels, frizzy hair due to humidity, and blackout at school. Yeah pretty interesting...haha. This romper is new and I can't help but feel like I am on a safari, I really like it! So yesterday I went out with my Mom and did a little denim and sweater thrifting. I am planing on doing some ombre and unicorn patch work on them(so stay tuned). Oh and also yesterday I was sleeping and felt this intense shake in my bed and flipped out. Turns out there was an earthquake in Oklahoma and the aftershock hit us. I thought I was in some intense dream or something haha. Anywho no one got hurt in the earthquake, so that is a huge plus! Hope you all had a great weekend:)

So, I saw the skirt and shirt next to each other in my closet this past weekend and it just kind of hit me that these two would look pretty decent with each other. Today was pretty boring, I am really craving some yellow nailpolish right now so, I could possibly put suns on my thumbs(my nails are supposed to look like clouds haha) I really want to be more creative with my nails instead of just painting them like red err something. Oh and this morning it was extremely foggy outside and when I walked out my front door I thought that I was in this a horror flick and someone was going to jump out behind me. Hey my fashionable friends:) So this is what I wore today and I went to one of my best friend's Sarah's singing performance at this Coffee House night at my school.She did SO well, I am very proud of her! My other friend Sarah and I made this really obnoxious poster for her and she loves it haha. Also, my favorite singer of all time is Justin Nozuka(I literally worship his voice) and I figured out via his facebook page that he is performing at my brother's college next week! Like, seriously what are the chances of that. It is such a random place haha. The only problem is that my brother's college is 4 hrs away from where I live and of course the Justin's performance is on a school night. GAWD this is seriously not my month, I was not able to see Foster the People either when they came into town! ahhhhhh oh well.

Last night I probably woke up about five times. My throat was just bugging me and when it hit 6:50, I woke up for school thinking I need to be super cozy today. Sup guys:) I wore this outfit on Thursday and I got a lot of compliments on these shoes! They are oh so easy to walk in and I just adore colored wedges. Homecoming is next week for my highschool and I plan on going, even though I do not have a date(hahah third year in a row). For each day we have a specific theme and ours is 100 years of excellence, so I get to dress in different eras each day(50's,70's, 80's) Not really a stretch from my usual routine but I am excited!

Fashion Week Spring 2012 Recap

So, NY fashion week has wrapped up and seriously LOVED pretty much everything that I saw via youtube. Hands down my favorite designer was Nicholas K. He had beautiful pieces with hoods, flowy silhouettes, and just an effortless coolness to everything that I admire so much. My other favorites were Tracey Reed; embracing the wonderful femininity in the 50's era, Richard Chi, Phillip Lim, Nicole Miller; whose pop art prints and bold colors I adored, Derek Lam, Tadashi Shoji, Honor, and last but not least Badgley Mischka. Badgley Mischka never fails to impress and any girl would be crazy not to want to wear any of their beyond amazing dresses!!

Hey guys, so yeah all black outfit today. I was in one of those "moody feeling" days and just wanted to be comfortable yet still me of course. My sparkly shoes(which you guys haven't seen in a while!) helped brighten my outfit a bit.

I have been thinking and I can't help but feel that I have been rejected a lot. Not just with fashion but everything. It is sort of putting a damper on my day:/ But, it is always important to stay positive(not trying to be cheesy) so hopefully tomorrow I will be in a better mood. DIY Balmain inspired denim

This seriously took me ALL night to do this haha. My fingers are so sore from putting the studs in and my wrists hurt from hammering. It hurts just to type! It doesn't matter though because I am so satisfied with the results! I got inspiration from my favorite designer ever, Balmain as seen here.
All you really need for this DIY is different types of studs, safty pins, denim jacket/vest and a hammer!

Hey guys! Today's outfit was just pretty chill and laid back. Ponchos are one of my staples:) Today at school we had this thing called Rachel's Challenge. I balled at the end because the Columbine shooting was just such a terrible event that happened and I kept thinking what if that happened to someone I love. The challenge is pretty much about being kind to others and you know show kindness towards each other no matter who we are or what we look like. One thing I have seen a lot, is cyberbullying, especially on fashion blogs(hint hint anonymous people). There is no way that cyberbullying is okay and I just get so peeved when I see it. My motto is if you don't like the what the blogger posted, keep it to yourself or just don't comment because seriously those extremely rude and hurtful comments can seriously damage a person. There is a big difference between constructive criticism and just being plain mean. Anyways, that is my two cents for the day.

My classes are okay, I have Fashion Design with my bestie Sarah:) Oh that class will be so fun now that my partner in crime is with me.

Hey my fashionable friends:) So this pretty famous dude inspired me with todays outfit. I thought it would be perfectly acceptable to edit my photos to black and white. Speaking of editing, some of you have asked me how I did my new header...well flickr is my go to place! Seriously when I saw they came out with the cosmic setting I freaked out! I seriously love anything that has to do with space.

Hey my fashionable friends!!
So, it has been a while since my last post and seriously it was killing me that I was not able to post! This is because I went on my first cruise:) Seriously loved it! At first I was really hesitant because I get motion sickness really easily but the pills my mom gave me worked like a charm...although they made me extremely tired. Overall it was a really cool experience and Mexico was really nice!!! There was the super cute guy there too around my age and we kept bumping into each other and the whole time we just looked at each other.....but, I didn't have the guts to say anything to him, because I am such a chicken when it comes to that stuff:/ Ah, oh well. But, anywho I really want to go on another cruise next summer!

Last night I went to the Ke$ha and LMFAO concert in Dallas and it was EPIC! I seriously was in shock when I saw them and we had pretty good seats! And Quest Crew from America's Best Dance Crew dances for LMFAO and I am a huge fan of Hok and i put a heart out to him and pointed to him and he saw me and nodded and pointed back!! Yup, yesterday was the best night of my life.

Firstly, thank you very much for taking part in this interview! (I’m trying to sound least like an interviewer in a magazine as possible!)

It is evident you have a real passion for fashion, where did it all start?

It really just started from like when I was a toddler and such. I always enjoyed dressing my Barbies and my American girl doll in different outfits and I always played dress-up and just felt really connected to clothes.

Who or what inspires you?

Definitely the enviornment and other fashion bloggers.

Why did you decide to start your blog?

I wanted to share my style with people around the world and hopefully inspire girls my age, that it is okay to dress outside of the box.

Is it over-whelming to think how many people read your blog?

No, I am just extremely flattered:)

When and where did all these readers suddenly spring from? Or was it a gradual process?

I first started off on Chictopia and then made my blog. So I think people from that site followed me to my blog. It was gradual at first and then one day they just all started following! It is kind of like a pattern I guess you would say.

Has there ever been a time where you’ve thought about stopping blogging? Have you ever received any ‘hate,’ too much work etc?

Yes, I have definitely had that time. It was just my parents thought I was too absorbed in it and that it was taking away all my time. But, blogging is a part of me and I will never give it up. I have received more of constructive criticism then hate.

Who in your personal life knows about your blog?

My family, close friends, and people on facebook haha.

I’m always curious about the way people take their pictures. How do you take yours or does someone do it for you?

Sometimes I use my tripod with a self timer but, most of the time I have someone else take them for me, either my friends or family.

What camera do you use and do you have any tips on taking photos of outfits? A lot of people have different opinions.

I use a Sony Alpha a290. My tips are to make sure you get a good head to toe picture and if you have some really rad accessories on take close ups of them. I try to go to different locations which, always helps to switch things up. Standing in front of your garage or something can sometimes get repetitive.

I often read your posts and wonder how you manage to walk around school in all your gorgeous shoes! Do you get noticed a lot more at school because you’re a snappy dresser?

Hahah thanks! You just have to practice in taller shoes and after a while you know which short cuts to take so that your feet don't hurt as much and how to walk down the stairs so you don't trip! Yes, I do get noticed for the way I dress. I get looks up and down a lot but, honestly I don't care. I wear what I want to wear and that is all that matters.

From your quote ‘dress the way you want to dress,’ I take it this wouldn’t be something that bothers you?

Yeah! Hahah I sort of answered that in the question above but, I definitely believe in dressing the way you want to dress.

Where would you like to be in 10 years time?

Ahhhh lets see, well I definitely want to be very successful in the fashion industry.I probably will be single because I am a workaholic. Maybe have a loft in NY and design shoes in my free time. <---- I will need to work my butt off to get to this place, but it is SO worth it.

Have you thought about what career path you’d like to take?

Definitely want to be either a fashion buyer or stylist!

Do you think having blog is a good place to start if you’re someone looking for a career in the fashion/beauty industry?

Yes, Yes, Yes! Blogging gives many opportunities and will really help you in the long run

How did you feel when the infamous Lily Melrose mentioned you in her ‘five to follow’ segment?

I was SO FLATTERED!!! She is fabulous and just for her to know who I am is awesome:)

What the most important tip you’d give to a newbie fashion blogger?

Be yourself, be dedicated, and most of all enjoy it!

What do you love most about blogging?

All the connections you have with fellow bloggers!

Is blogging something you’d like to do for as long as possible?

Absolutely, I will still be blogging when I am in my bedazzled wheelchair.

I noticed at the bottom of your blog it says ‘blogger for teen vogue magazine.’ You don’t seem to mention this a lot?

Yes, my posts go to teenvogue.com when I put the label Teen Vogue on my posts! Yeah, I don't know I guess I just thought people would know when they saw the badge.

Moving away from blogging a little, what else do you like to do in your spare time?

I do hip-hop. Dancing is my other passion:) When, I see a pair of glorious shoes, I get the same rush as dancing haha. I also love hanging with my friends and drawing.

You say in your ‘about me’ section ‘the burbs of texas (for now)’ are you hoping to move away in the future?

Yes, there is no way I am staying in Texas haha. It is just not the place for me. The three places I would rather be are my hometown Chicago, LA, or NY.

What’s your opinion on using real animal fur for in fashion? (or anything else related to these issues)

I have only worn faux fur on my blog. But, I don't know it is just one of those topics where I am just still confused about if I am for it or against it.One thing I do not like is when people wear actual rosaries as necklaces. I think it is wrong because rosaries were never made to be a fashion statement, but a practice for the Christian faith. That is just my opinion.

What’s the biggest thing that’s happened in your life? Good or bad?

Hmmm I would have to say moving from Chicago. It was really tough on me because all of my friends and family live there.

How did this affect you?

I was just really sad about it and became very anxious. But, now since I have been here for five years I have a great group of friends and I get to see my family and friends from Chicago once a year! So, it is all good:)

How has blogging changed you as a person?

I have become more open to different ideas and asthetics. I'm not as hard headed I guess you would say.

What’s something most people don’t know about you? (random fact)

I can do a good Australian accent(says the Americans of course!)
